Swimsuits
Well, it's that time of the year again! I've put on a few lbs. over the last 2 years, and the swimsuits I initially bought after my mastectomy have been "outgrown" due to my "chemo baby". So I've been trying to find something that fits and works for me.
I'm somewhat long-torsoed, so a lot of suits end up with the bra being too low. Plus a lot of tankini tops are too short. I ordered a top from Lands End, and the cup size is too big - it would easily fit a C, and I'm a large A.
I was looking on-line, and came across this on the Kohl's site:
It's perfect! No worry about leaning over and showing what you don't have! And it's long enough that you don't have to worry about showing any skin. I'll just have to sew a pocket in it. Actually, I could probably just pin a foam form into it - I do that with another suit I have, and it worked fine. I have a skirted bottom that will work perfect with it. It looks like they only have a size 10 right now, but the sizes offered changes, as people return them, so if they don't have your size, just keep an eye on it and see if your size becomes availalable.
Amoena has a couple of suits that have this style of neckline/halter type, but I'm too heavy to pull off that kind of print, and I like having a skirt that covers the top of my thighs, which are looking pretty flabby these days. Too bad they don't offer a tankini top in that style. I do have an Amoena tankini top that I bought on sale last year, but it's really too short - it barely meets the top of the bottoms, and I just don't want a "muffin top" showing.

I just bought 2 lands end tankinis from the overstock section. The tops were $12.99 and the bottoms were $6.99. I bought the same suit 2 sizes larger last year and like it.
Here's the link to the top:
*Because it is a mastectomy top, it doesn't tie. It has straps that cross in the back.

Thanks for the heads up on the bathing suit mtomp2020. You mentioned a 'foam' insert? I am sort of new to all of this mastectomy stuff. Could you explain what you meant?
I don't want to wear my good foobies in the ocean, or a pool, and hate to spend a lot on a pair I will only wear two weeks a year! I did try to find foam inserts by googling it, but all I could find were huge sizes, and now that I can chose to be smaller, I am
. I would appreciate any suggestions, and/or help you might be able to offer. Thanks again

I use the Amoena 126 Leisure foam form for swimming and exercise. I'm an A cup, and the form is a size 6, they tend to run small. Here's a link to it:

American Cancer Society TLC also has a foam form:

I did have a Lands End top that was the v-neck, and really liked it, but I outgrew it. I ordered a new one a size up a couple of weeks ago, and they now tie instead of having the criss-cross straps. The cups were too big, and it really looked kind of strange, so I returned it.
