How to get a jump start

I thought that getting diagnosed with breast cancer would make me immediately change my eating and exercise habits.  7 months after my diagnosis I have not made any changes.  Does anyone have anything inspirational or just a kick in the butt to help me make some changes? I need to probably drop 20 pounds.

That's what I need to lose also.  I just started back with exercise this week.  I thought I would start with moving more and then add eating less.  I also started journaling and hope that will help me get to the bottom of why I'm not doing more to improve my chances of staying cancer free.  I have been comforting myself with food.  Beginning is half done so just do one thing differently to start.  I've decided to be patient with myself instead of feeling guilty.  My cancer was found early and I handled every step with courage.  However, I'm a bit raw from the experience and need some time to get my spirit back.  Be kind to yourself.

Come over to the "Let's Post Our Daily Exercise" thread. We have lots of fun and it FORCES us to exercise, so it is both inspirational and a kick in the butt! Ruth
