taxol regimen -low WBCs?

My 29 year old daughter completed 6 rounds of DD AC without any complications and great results, and has since completed 6 of DD Taxol. Her WBCs have dropped 2 weeks in a row, staying below 900, so the doses have been postponed.  What happens now? Her chemo is neoadjuvent to the surgery.  Due to the aggressiveness of TNBC, with what should we be most concerned (aside from the obvious risk of infection)?

Did she not have the neulasta shot during chemo?  That should have been a given...

She had Neulasta throughout her AC tx, but she nothing during the Taxol. Her onc wants to wait one more week because the ANC is starting to come up. Does that make any sense?

My onc said Neulasta was not normally given after Taxol, for which I was most excited as it did my in after each AC - was worse than the chemo.  I only had one taxol as it caused instant neuopathy, so she switched me to Taxotere.  I did have to have the Neulasta after each taxotere (that is normal) and one week my counts did not bounce back and she put it off for another week, and was prepared to put it off for yet another if necessary and assured me it would not interfere with my treatments at all.  Good luck!

I had to have neulasta after every chemo..ac and taxol..I hated it because I thought I wouldn't have to have it during taxol..was so disappointed...the only good thing was..my wbc was always very high...maybe the oncs were right...even though I argued and argued....my dh kept encouraging me to take them

Looking back I would probably have them again dang it....bet your daughter should probably have them too...I just didn't want anything to halt my treatments...wanted to get them over with asap.

My wbd was never low even in the beginning so wasn't sure why I had to have them...oh well

I dont think a short postponement will hurt.  I had my taxol postponed by one week due to low WBCs.  I was taking neupogen while on AC and stopped on taxol.

It won't hurt...I'm still just pissed off I had to have that nuelasta shot with  taxol...just a little whining going on here.
