I have been reading these boards day and night for several months and greatly admire all of you ladies who are so knowlegeable and courageous .

I was informed that I had idc in November,2009 by my former Gynecologist who broke the news with no forthought, compassion or feeling whatsoever.Despite all of the good prognostic factors I subsequently learned that my tumor had, when asking him about my prognosis he said,"what can i say....You have cancer!".

I have just had a BMX at MSKCC and will be looking for another Gynecologist within the next month or 2,after I have recovered from my surgery and would like to know if any of you know of a good Gynecologist in Monmouth county,NJ-near the Aberdeen , Colts Neck/Middletown area.

Thank you all.

Uck, that sounds like my previous GYN! He told me, as he sucked his breakfast out of his teeth, over the phone...suuuck"yup" suuuck looks like breast cancer. Do you have a breast surgeon?" He might as well have been chewing gum and popping bubbles. Oh and then his associate tells me he's sure I had ovarian cancer in a phone call while I'm driving...9 days before my bilatreral mastectomy--(I had lots of tests afterwards and no ovarian cancer, nothing. whew)

I have since found a GYN I like a lot more but I'm in Ocean county so that won't help you. My cousin goes to a woman up in Colts Neck near Delicious Orchards. I think she might be Dr Pacana? My cousin seems happy with her. best wishes

I live in Freehold.  Are you looking for a male or female GYN? I go to Woman's Physicans and Surgeons.  One of their offices is in Freehold. I go to Dr. Peter Mandel there and he has always been very thorough. If you need any other recomendations please PM me as I work with a lot of women I can get recommendations from.

    Hi Janet,

I see that Dr.Mandel has an office in Matawan, which is a stone's throw from me,but he is not affiliated with Bayshore hospital.Would you possibly know of any GYN that is affiliated with Bayshore and preferbly a woman? Thanks so much for your help.

    Iris,

I have searched for a female GYN who goes to Bayshore and no luck.  However this is a male GYN who comes highly recommended, a Dr. Issa Lehaf.

    Good Luck,

    Janet

Janet, you won't believe this, but Dr.Issa Lehaf was my former GYN who I have since left for the reasons I enumerated previously. What irony!

Thanks though for searching for me.I appreciate it.
