Parp Inhibitor Clinical Trials

Hello to all,

I am on here to find some support and more hopefully more useful information on Triple Negative BC.  My mother was first diagnoised with BC in October 2007.  She did the chemo and had a masectomy and reconstruction surgery in April 2008 and then it came back in June 2008.  So she had the cancer removed AGAIN and now its back AGAIN.  She is doing a clinical trial with a Parp Inhibitor?  I am not too certain about how this drug works but the research has been showing great results.  Does anyone have any more information they can give?

Also, has anyone had to deal with a lot of pain (unbearable).  Her cancer is on her left side mostly and now her entire left arm is continuously causing much pain.  The doctors gave her pain medicine but its not working.  She cries herself to sleep because of the pain and she thinks something is sitting on her nerve.  She is loosing mobility of her arm now.  Can someone please give me something to go off of.  I don't know what to do.....
