Okay I would like to say thanks for the heads up to watch the Today show but I just don't get the point of the interveiw..
I am sorry but I am very edgy right now as I have a follow up pet/ct scan next week..I have been saying this over and over and over triple negative is very aggressive and should not be treated lightly..
I guess I was expecting something different..Nobody around me gets it.
Like I said I am on edge and I just want answers that I am never gonna find
-
thanks so much!!

I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in the report too. It seemed more focused on how fabulous she looks and how she's able to be in the gym every day during chemo and how the worst part of it all is losing her hair.
I think it's wonderful that she's doing so well, don't get me wrong, but the report really had nothing of substance to do with triple negative breast cancer. I guess every little bit helps to increase awareness, but that's about it. I do appreciate her sharing her story and wish her nothing but the best!

I think what all BC patients need is that people watching get a sense of urgency for a cure. I didn't get that from the interview. I don't believe John Q Public is seeing the real face of breast cancer; that is, the pain, suffering, disfigurement, depression, lack of sexual desire. Just my humble opinion. Maryiz

I completely agree!
-
I am still upset over this
-
Well, I sure understand it! My daughter was diagnosed at age 33, went through surgery, chemo and radiation. I know how ugly it is. Worse, we lost a good family friend this past Monday to BC. She was the one who counseled and encouraged my daughter as she was going through the process.
I'll say something that's even uglier, a plastic surgeon to whom you've been referred for reconstruction who pokes even more holes in your self-esteem. The surgeon they sent my daughter to had all the compassion of Leona Helmsley. My daughter still hasn't had her reconstruction.

pta0317- my heart goes out to you and your daughter.
I lost my Mother to BC in 76 when I was 6. She was 30.
I was dxed at 38 and had chemo nurses w/ the bedside manner of snakes. I had to literally threaten to get prescripts filled. My phone calls went unreturned. My BRCA test was lost??? and the list goes on and on..
