Good hair day !!!
Hi girls
Well today was a great hair day and here is my story...for those of you that know me you will know ..I hated my wig, I hated being stared at , I hated everything about looking different !!!
So it started Fri after rads my gf came with me and then we did the mall & lunch ...I went topless..I have a verry short boy look ...one women stared at me so long ...when i turned around she was still staring ...oh brother !!!
Today my daughter & I had a shopping date...she heads to cosmetics and I head over to the shoe dept. The salesclerk comes up to me and is gushing about my hair ..ie I love your cut is that ever cute etc. I finally had to fess up and tell her she did not want my hairdresser...CHEMO...but I was not rude or did not embarass her ...in fact I thanked her profusely for the compliment !!
So now we head over to a clothing store I like and this older lady comes up to me same deal..,love your hair she went on to tell me about her hair problems bad scalp etc. I did not offer up the Chemo hairdresser this time as the conversation did not warrant it ...both said they loved the colour which I have not seen in 20 years...very silver brown...more silver...
Had a good hair day ...FINALLY !!
much love
Cheryl

I started going topless a several weeks ago. My hair is extremely short, but I was tired of covering my head and the hair was starting to show under the scarves. I was in SAMS one afternoon and an older lady came up to me and gushed over my hair, told me how good it looked, etc...... Shocked me, because I thought I looked like a cancer patient. Funny how we see something different than others. I'm really happy you had a wonderful hair day!!!!

i think very short hair is extremely beautiful..
i'm ready for a cut.
-
Yah for you Cheryl!! Enjoy it.
I currently look like an overgrown poodle!! LOL! When I shake my head now, my curls bounce on my neck, it is lovely. I remember when I first started going topless I would feel the wind in it, and it felt very strange.
-
I'm glad you shared your great hair day with us. It brought back some good memories for me. Your "short" hair must look great.

Great news, victoriasecret!!! Way to go. I am so there.
If I don't lose my hair from Taxol, I will go topless very soon too.
I would now, except that I have no idea what the next couple of weeks will bring. The stuff has been growing for about 6 weeks, even with dose dense AC. I realize that I would need to even up color, but I am an old hand with that one. Would use something natural however.
So if the stuff continues to grow, will go topless in a couple of weeks. If not, and it falls out with Taxol, think we are looking at June. I am fine either way.
I am actually looking forward to sporting a lot of looks as it grows out to chin length. I used to have very long, but my neighbor told me that if I ever do that one again, he will hire a hit man to sneak into my apartment with a pair of scissors and give me a serious trim!

Dear KerryMac....
I have just enough hair to know how a porcupine feels when it gets its quills up. Was a major revelation for me. - Claire

Yay Cheryl! Gotta love the hair compliments!
Kerry, I'm giving the curl grow out another go. It's wild, and after being in the humidity in Fla, it was insanely huge. Oh well!
My son nicknamed me the porcupine after chemo so that sounds vaguely familiar Claire.

Vic ~ I abosolutely HATED wearing my wig too!! Not that it didn't look good on me. I always was complimented on it because it looked just like my hair used to . Very light blonde shoulder length, but I hated it because I could'nt stand the feeling of it. Now my hair is an inch long but it is so damned curley, I have little ringlets all over my head, and it's so thick. My daughter colored it and stll doesn't really take the way it used to. So I have to get used to this new person in the mirror.
-
Yay for a good hair day! I thought I looked pretty good when I buzzed my hair in preparation for it falling out, so I'll happily go topless with a porcupine head.
-
i am so happy for you that you had a "good hair" day. brought me back to when i was having a coffee at Starbuck...when my hair was beginning to come in...and some guy came over and said" "where do you get your hair cut?" it is the best hair cut i have ever seen....i am a hairstylist and wish i could cut hair that great" i told him is was "chemo hair" and he was so nice...but still said.."that is the best hair i have seen in a long time" i walked with a bit of a swagger that day" lol
it gets better the more it grows in**

I am going without my wig-I have a rug of half inch hair-it's very thick though and it's growing in the color I had when I was child. I look like I am in the army. I wear a hat or scarf a lot though. It started growing back during AUX so I am wondering if it will keep going with taxol but no shedding yet.
My eyebrows and eyelashes thined out but didn't come out so I still have them as well. I am excited to have short hair-I told my kids I was going to have it cut and color like Pink's hair.
