    Hi Everyone,

    I have had a hard time understanding friends-even good acquaintances-who pretty much dropped out of sight when I went through treatment and depression after my bc diagnosis in 7/08. One woman who I thought of as one of my closest friends was there at the beginning, but just wasn't there for me in the long haul. She did make me an organic carrot cake for my birthday that year, so I'm trying to remember that when I start feeling a bit angry about the whole thing. We haven't talked about it-she still doesn't seem to have time to get together. Maybe not such a good friend...

    Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had experienced something like this with their friends, or if friendships changed for better of worse after the bc experience.
