Am presently in the waiting game of mammo and then bx and mri tomorrow.  Wondering if anyone else has any suggestions or positive stories of SK healthcare?

    Hi, I see you did not get an answer here. Try going to the larger threads like Canadian Health Care and The Canadian Connection. These are large active threads where people tend to congregate, you'll find more of your canadian sisters there! Hope all went okay for you, let us know how you are doing!

    HI;

    I'M A SASK. LADY. FINISHED MY RADIATION IN OCT./07. I BELIEVE I RECEIVED THE BEST TREATMENT POSSOBLE, AS I HAD IBC! HOWEVER, BECAUSE IT WAS IBC, I REALLY DIDN'T HAVE CHOICES. PLEASE, SEND PRIVATE MESSAGE, IF I CAN HELP IN ANY WAY.....

    HUGS,

    Erika

    Hi artsy mom - not on this site a lot.  But I was diagnosed a year ago.  I had mastectomy with reconstruction then went through chemo - had reactions - then radiation which I just finished in December.  I believe that I had awesome care and that the doctors and nurses truly cared how I was feeling and listened to any concerns I may have had.  Are you doctoring in Regina or Saskatoon?

    Hi Ladies,

    I totally lost this thread, post, whatever it is called.  I tried to find it but today my head is a little clearer and whalla!

    I had a lumpectomy March 17th and things are going pretty darn good.  The surgeon did an amazing job with the incision and managed to get the lymph nodes out too in that one spot.  So only one cut. Should get the jp out soon, thank the Lord for that and trying to exercise the arm daily.  Not sure how much exercise is exercise.  They just said to do them but how many?

    I too have had absolutely wonderful care from mds and surgeons, etc.  Even my stay at the hospital on the night of the surgery was great.  The nurses visited frequently the mds never rushed, it was amazing.  I am now waiting for my pathology report.

    I was told that would take about 2 weeks.  Then I get a call from the clinic?

    I never thought this week would be a nervy week.  Kind of figured once I got through the surgery it would be clear sailing.  Not so much.

    Hope to hear back from you ladies and that you haven't lost faith in me that I'd be back.
