Im worried about xray..lymph nodes

Hi to anyone, sometimes one can feel so alone, I dont wnat to tell my husband yet but i am worried about xrays . i can see little white things in armpit area of mastectomy side. thought they took them all out but ...oh i dont know what to think.

I looked at the xray and looked at last years, can see them on last years but fewer..why didnt doctor see this.

I have 2 weeks to wait before I have appt with onc. Im going crazy and dont know what to do. does anyone know where I could find a picture of xrays of lymph nodes?? I tryed googling but couldnt find anything. should I worry maybe go to gp in meantime see what she thinks??

When you say xray do you mean xray or was it a CT or MRI? I just googled "axillary lymph node ct" and the same for mri and then selected images from the top menu and some images appeared. Not sure if this is the same thing as you had done. Take a look and see.

Even though they say they do lymph node clearance they often don't take them all out these days as it reduces the chance of lymphedema so it is likely you still have some and that could be what you are seeing.

Was last years the first one post mastectomy?

Don't torture yourself for 2 weeks. Waiting for results etc is the worst. It's likely that they were spotted last year and they are something that should be there, but for your own peace of mind It wouldn't hurt to give your gp a call and see if there is anyone there who could interpret the images better.

Try not to worry...I know it's easier said than done...been there myself.

  Hi Macc, thanks so much for your reply... having a bit of a pity party today and just dont have anyone to talk to.. Its an xray of the thorax that im looking at. the images on internet are mri, ct and look different. at first i thought that plastic sergon left staples in until i looked at last years.

  had mastectomy in 2006 so i imagine i have other xrays..have to look for them.

I called oncoligist and changed appt to next week , i know 1 week wont make a difference,

the thought of going through it all again is so scary.
