please help weight loss prior to stage 1 and stable lower weight

Hi everyone,

My Mom (61yrs) had a mastectomy in 1979 of her one breast and in 2007 for cancer in the other one.  I am so concerned daily for her and feel anxiety almost constantly. She did not have it in her lymph nodes but her onco Dx was 28. She did not do chemo as she was petrified of it.

I want to ask what you think. She had the lump for 2 years and the mamo tech said it was nothing the year before it was caught (07) by accident on cat scan for chest pain. She had weight loss prior to her cancer and now I just feel so scared that she can get it again.

Please let me know if anyone knows of weight loss prior and no weight gain with normal diet even with extra calories at holidays.

Also, what kind of follow ups should she get.  We are ridden with anxiety and she seems to want to avoid the onconlogist she saw following her surgery.

Please advise.  She helps me care for my critically ill 9 year old and I just feel worried all the time over this.
