new bb sized lump

Options

Went in for my annual mammo today and  mentioned to the nurse that I feel a small bb sized lump in the scar from my lumpectomy in 06. The radiologist couldn't see it in the mammo so he sent me in for and ultra sound. They can see it on the ultra sound but are fairly confident that it is just scar tissue. Not confident enough to say it's nothing so they want me to have an mri. I had my annual mri last june and everything was ok then. Just wondering if something that small would show up on an mri or if I should just ask my onc to take it out. I am not freaking out about it but not ready to just dismiss it either. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Jackie

I'd go ahead and have another MRI, so they can compare the two.  Then see what your onc says.
If you aren't satisfied, maybe get another opinion.  Good luck.

I can't help much except to say I recently had an mri for a suspicious area on my back which came back inconclusive and too small to biopsy. I also had a negative pet/ct.  I had to wait three months to repeat the mri today and am awaiting results right now.   I haven't had this problem on my breast but think some spots do not show on certain scans.  I think this why many onc's take a watch and see approach.   Hope it's nothing serious and completly b9:)
