ischemic colitis after Taxol??

Hi everyone!

This is my first post to the forums.  My 71 year old mother was diagnosed with IDC in September 2009 and had a left mastectomy on October 15th, 2009.  She had her first Chemo treatment on January 7th, which consisted of Taxol and Herceptin.  On January 13th she was in a pretty bad state with vomiting, sweating, weakness.  I work about 1 hour from her home so she called 911.  When the paramedics arrived she felt like she had to have a BM.   When she sat on the toilet it was only blood.

 She was admitted to the hospital and was subsequenty told she had developed "Ischemic Colitis".  Has anyone experienced this after having Paclataxol (taxol)??
