Is Susun Weed's Breast Book Still Relevant? (1996)

I've just started reading Susun Weed's book, "Breast Cancer?  Breast Health!  The Wise Woman Way," but I'm not sure if I should bother.  It was published in 1996, so clearly, all of the studies, statistics, etc., are outdated.  Have you found the book to have timeless value, in other ways?  Is there a particular section or chapter I should just skip to? 

I'm getting overwhelmed with reading and researching...information overload.  I try and get info from a wide variety of sources - spiritual/alternative AND scientific... but I'm feeling a need to be more choosey about my sources. I believe in integrative treatments - using both conventional AND alternative treatments simultaneously.  e.g. I take Arnica and Chickweed tea along with Percoset!  And this is hard, because conventional breast cancer books/sources rail against the "quackery" of anything and everything other than surgery/chemo/radiation/hormone therapy, and insist you'll die without the conventional treatments.  And then many alternative books/sources rail against Western medicine and say you'll die FROM the conventional treatments.  It drives me crazy.
