I have not written before, I have been trying to cope with being diagnosed, surgery, chemo (4 rounds of TC) and I am now into my 6th of 28 radiation treatments. I am also struggling with my weight, which has skyrocketed as a result of chemo, holidays, and stress. But I am very concerned, especially since everything I read says that diet and exercise, lowering ones BMI is essential to possibly reducing the chances of a recurrence. Which I get. I have been asked to join a weight lose group called Transistions that uses supplements that have vitamins as well as Chromian (? I have mispelled this). My onc says its ok, but I am concerned, and wondering if anyone else joined a group, takes dietary supplements, or is just plain scared of any other chemicals being added to the mix? My tumor was discovered by chance; I was scheduled for a breast reduction, had the mamography before hand, and well there my 1.4 cm triple negative forever changing my life tumor was! I am very grateful it was caught early, no lymp node involvment, nothing vascular was identified, and I had 1/8 cm clear margins all the way around. After reading some of the sites, I know that this disease can come regardless of the stage, which also makes me nervous. It's only been a few months, but when do you stop worrying? I am in awe of how brave you all are, and how wonderfuland helpful this site has been. Good bless you all!
