Crabby does not cause cancer!

I really like the Joinourloop blog. Even became a friend of the blog. And being me, of course I had to comment here and there! Crabby is good -- better to release the pent up pissed-off-ness than hold it in and be even more miserable. I used to worry about other people's feelings too much. Not any more baby-cakes!! (haha -- had to work "cake" in there somewhere!!)

I thought this was a very good essay! I agree, being "crabby" won't have an effect on the cancer itself, but I also agree being crabby won't help the day to day living. Venting is a good thing, helps you move on, and isn't that all we want to do, move on! Oh yeah and to add to Elizabeth-move on and eat cake!!! (love your mantra)

Can anybody photoshop oscar the grouch pink? It would be a good avatar!

I've edited the pink grouch to add a caption, just in case this thing ends up on a T-shirt or poster somewhere. I suppose the grouch is copyrighted...? Alternatives:
Being a grouch does not cause cancer!
Being grouchy does not cause cancer!
Being grouchy did not cause my cancer!

Thank God! This is my first post -- I just discovered breastcancer.org and I love it. You all talk about the things that the doctors either deny or ignore. I finished herceptin in August (so my heavy duty treatment was about a year and half long). I was on tamoxifen and I was miserable. I was slightly nauseated all the time, everyday. But all my friends and colleagues kept telling me how good I looked, how much more energy I seem to have. And when I would admit that I'm really angry about having to go through this in the first place, they would do the equivalent of "there, there". Why wouldn't we be crabby? Why wouldn't we get angry when our bodies and worlds are turned upside down. In my case, if I'm not mad, I get really depressed. In my opinion, angry is better. Keep sharing this info -- I'll keep reading. Thanks!!!

I just found this thread. I've been done with treatment for a couple of years, but that pink Oscar STILL needs to be on the wall of my office. Especially since I can't really say, " Yes, dammit, my life is different after cancer, and Yes I see things differently. However, I'm telling you "NO" now, just like I would have before, so stop pestering me and get the heck out of my office!!!!!"
(boy, that felt good!)

peggy and asedge right back at you!

Maybe someone should be pink oscar for Halloween!
