Normally, I don't venture too far from the Stage III thread -- but I found this message out on the Stage IV thread today that I thought was so heartening and encouraging.  Read this when you're feeling scared.....

...oh shoot....looks like the link isn't working -- go out on Stage IV and find the 17-year Stage IV survivor thread.  It's pretty new.
