so sorry, tell more about yourself!!

Patti, I hope this biopsy will give your oncologist the information needed. Hugs as you face this very scary time. Will keep you in my thoughts. Let us know what we can do to help you.

Sending you all the prayers in the world. I know when I was first diagnosed, I went into my "girl cave" and major denial. I had to drag myself out and do one good thing for myself each day. I have started journaling again so that the 'squirrils" are not running my head and getting a short walk on the beach. I am not in your shoes but truly, let us know how we can support you. XXXOOO

Patty,
I'm so sorry! It's so hard to find the right words to say to make you feel better, but we are here for you. This journey is one day at a time....There are amazing women on the Stage IV boards that can help you more than anyone. Once you find out more about what you are dealing with, go there and ask questions. They are a wealth of information.
Let us know what we can do.
Hugs
Bobbie

Hi Patty -- first, a big hug. It's a very scary time for you! I understand that well. Once you have your biopsy on Monday and get the results things will start to settle down. It's awful not knowing. But once you know what you're dealing with and what your plan of action will be it won't feel as frightening. Just like others have said, come to the Stage IV board to read and ask questions. You are not alone. There are lots of women there who will help. I'll help if I can. We'll get you through this. More hugs,
Elizabeth

I am just "ditto-ing" what Konakat said above. All of us Stage IV's know exactly where you are because we have ALL been there. If it is Stage IV, you will start to feel better once you know your attack plan. There are a lot of us who are here on the Stage IV forum to help you. Please take advantage of this valuable resource! Good luck.

If this is mets and that is IF, things are different than they were 9 years ago. There are many meds that can help. You mention your original bc was estrogen positive there are many many treatments for that type of bc. I also wonder if your original bc was Her2 positive, as they were not given Herceptin back then you may be able to find out about that as well. In addition if there are any bone issues there is Zometa now that can really help to heal.
Please know that that are things you can do to address all of this and there is hope!

Hi Patty well you have a supportive husband and you made a step coming here. These people are so nice, sweet, kind and non-judgmental..do you know what you are scared of anything in particular? It is so difficult going through this that you are allowed to be scared..

It doesn't seem fair to have it recur so long after the initial diagnosis, does it? I always knew BC was a sneaky beast, and you & I just prove that. If you weren't scared, you wouldn't be human. Please hang in there, take a deep breath, and keep reading & asking questions.
-
thank you all, have to go back in tomorrow for another lung biopsy said they need more to determine whether it is Her2+ or Her2-sucks but you have to do what you have to do so that we can get a plan in action was Her2- first time diagnosed so will not have results back until Wednesday the waiting is the hardest I don't want to sit around worring anymore I want to attack this beast.
-
Patti, I'm so sorry to hear the lung biopsy has to be repeated. Another waiting period. No fair. I don't blame you for wanting to get the treatment started to attack this thing. Warm hugs. Will be thinking of you between now and Wednesday. Please come back and let us know what is happening. We are here to help any way we can. G.
