I've seen some questions here from members regarding the side effects of Arimidex.  I was contemplating using it myself for breast cancer.  However, after reading the reviews from 289 patients on WebMd's site, I highly doubt I will.  Scary stuff.  I would suggest you read it and make your own decision.  Good luck and God bless!

I am hanging in there with Arimidex.  I've only been on it since July, almost 6 months.  I am not as afraid of it as I am of breast cancer mets!

I've been taking Arimidex for nearly 5 months and feel just fine. Sometimes I have a few aches and pains, but nothing that taking an Advil won't take care of. I'd rather take the Arimidex and fight to keep my cancer from recurring, than worry too much about the "possible" side effects.

I've been on for 10 months with very mild SE's.  I'd rather take my chances with Arimidex than without.  All meds, even OTC meds, can have se's down the road - some good, some bad.  289 out of how many thousands of sisters are on it.  Of course we will, for the most part, hear more of the negatives.  How many sisters are NED 5+ years out. 

Blackroze1000 - wondering what will you use instead?  Another AI, Tamox, an alternative?  Please share.  Thanks.

I've been on Arimidex for 18+ months.  My SE's have been tolerable and manageable.  They're not nearly as scary as the prospect of my cancer returning.

People who have problems tend to be more verbal than people who don't. Yes, this drug has side efects. Will you have problems with it? Don't know. I couldn't handle Arimidex, but did just fine with Femara. For others, it has been the reverse. At least we are fortunate enough to have some options.

I have been on Arimidex for 2 years.  My side effects have been mild.  I did have some hair loss which I blamed on Arimidex but it turned out to be caused by low Vitamin D. 

May what ever decision you make be the right one for you.
