breast infection post Menopause, anyone?

Just wondering if anyone had experienced breast infections, I had only a lumpectomy back in Oct 08, then finished chemo in Mar 09 (which sent me into Menopause) and rads in June. Had clear Mammo and MRI in Sept 09 and another biopsy in Nov (b-9) This week I had a very itchy nipple so panicked about cancer return and called my BS. She saw me the same day, thought it looked like dermatitis and gave me a prescription for a salve. The next day the breast was very sore and red so called BS again. She had me come back, rechecked and did a ultra sound and a used a needle to try to drain any fluid (it was not particularly painful for anyone facing this) She prescribed kaflex. I asked about about IBC and Padget's but she said most likely just an infection, that they were common, even in older women (I'm 50) So has anyone else experienced this? I trust my BS completely but those fears and doubts still are doing battle with my ativan!
