book worth reading

My cousin's husband is only given about two weeks to live.  They have three small children.  When my mother had breast cancer several years ago, someone gave us the book Christians Curing Cancer by Lisa Nagg.  The book became a companion to us.  We took it everywhere we went.  It provided us with so much hope in such a desperate time.  My mother is healed now and we often give the book to cancer patients to help them through.  It is always appreciated.  This is what I am wondering though:  Should I send a book to someone who probably isn't going to spend this next two weeks doing any reading?  I don't want to send something inappropriate for the time.  However, I truly believe in the wonderful message to cancer patients found in this book.  Just wondering what to do.  I just am searching for a way to help this poor family.
