Possible recurrence - freaking out here

welela52, I came back in to check on you today and what do I find? NO CANCER! Wow, that is the very best news ever. I'm so happy you got the good news and can let go of the fear and anger now. Hurray!!!
Golden_Eyes, I don't have enough experience with the scans to know if PET is better for detecting lesions on the spine. I would have to trust your onc on this. It's surprising to me he thinks it's a different kind of cancer, not BC. I wonder what his reason is for thinking this. Looks like you are going to have to wait for more scan results and possibly a biopsy to get the questions you have answered. I think "wait" is a word we all learn to hate. You might try asking on stage 4 board, too, because the ladies there are really experienced with this type of issue, I bet.

Gloria and Goldia - so sorry you're both going through the waiting hell. I wish I had the words to ease your fear and anxiety, but I don't. I can only offer you my support and prayers. I pray that your wait time speeds by and that you receive only good news. Please keep us updated.
Never give up!

so sorry to hear that, keep thinking positive ,will keep you in my prayers

welela, I'm late on the congrats...CONGRATULATIONS! I could feel the relief in your post. Stay well and it's ALWAYS good to see a sister come back here and say...NO CANCER!
Gloria, I don't know if you've had your scan yet (darned weather..LOL), but I'm praying it's benign. I have no answers for you, just positive thoughts.
Goldia, I'm sorry you are going through this again. I think you onc has some good ideas. My original dx was Dec. 2004. September 2009 I had a CT scan and bone scan. I complained about my lymphedema arm..onc decided to do the scans (longish story) and she was surprised a spot on my spine showed up on both scans. Anyway, I took the bull by the horn and decided on a biopsy. It was positive. She changed my med from Arimidex to Aromasin. I'll have another CT scan on the 22nd. I'm trying to stay positive hoping it hasn't progressed. It all sucks! I'm praying that you have a good report.
Hey, Golden_Eyes. I'll be peeking in to see what your results are. I'll check the Wating Room.

Shirley, welela, and girls: I finally had my PET this past Friday afternoon and am going to oncologist this a.m. for results. Weather and Fridays are not good since it makes for WAITS! Will post ASAP. Thanks for your thought, prayers, interest. Gloria
