Motherhood after cancer--looking for stories

I've been asked to write a story for a Catholic magazine on motherhood after cancer. (I adopted a little girl from Guatemala post-breast cancer). It was a battle for me, my doctors were dead set against it, but (for a lot of reasons) I persisted. Now, seven years later, it was the best decision I ever made. I've been involved in Guatemalan work with medical care for children as well, but I'm not so much just looking for adoption stories. Anyone have anything inspiring and or helpful to share about becoming a mother after cancer?.
