Jen - ask your oncologist to be sure.  I recall that it is a factor but not nearly as important as ER status.  They wouldn't be doing it otherwise I assume.

Jen- I don't know but I am also highly er+ (95%) and slightl pr+.  All I can say is that I am just about 4 years out.

I asked my new onc about this as so many woman are supplementing with progesterone and she strongly suggested that PR+  women not do that. She also said that there is no way to treat the PR part and that is why they focus on the ER.

Yep, my PR part is less that my ER part - 60% or something. As far as I know, it is the ER part that counts.

YIKES... my PR is 100% and ER is only 70%...  That scares me.   Tami

Tami, You are strongly er positive with a 70%, which makes you a good candidate for tamoxifen and AIs.

PR % don't really factor into the equasion.

I guess I am just very hormonal... I'm 100% ER+ and 98% PR+.

It seems there is a lot about PR that they don't know. For every study that says one thing there is another that says the opposite.  By IHC I have no PR, by OncotypeDX I have some PR but not a lot.  What that means???? I don't know.
