What to do when I need to talk to someone?

Options

What do you do when you feel anxious and don't have anyone to call?  It is not serious enough to call a Dr., but just want to talk to someone?  Are there any services out there?  Or maybe good chat rooms?

    Hi

If you need to let off steam or just discuss emotions, side effects, treatments that others are doing or have done, etc. you have come to the right place. The chat room on this site is also available to you. This is a wonderful site as there are many of us here who have done, going through treatments, and can offer you some comfort in their replies. No question is too stupid. Remember, we are all in the same position on this site. You can also send e-mails to anyone via this site. You will soon learn how everything here works.

Take care and remember there is always someone here for you during all the trials and tribulations of this disease. Smile

Try the American Cancer Society page at www.cancer.org and look for suppor services in your community.  They have "hotlines" for those that just wish to talk if you want an anonymous conversation.

There are  many here who will be glad to talk to you as well, either via private message or personal phone contact if you choose.

I'm just a husband helping my wife and believe it or not, it's much harder to find someone to talk to since we males tend to avoid this kind of subject.  But I've made some contact through this site and it has helped.  There are warriors and heroes abundant here....

This is a support group, and the others are wonderful!!  We've all been down this same road, and we understand.  You can post here, or send a private message...

Please post whenever you have a question, or just feel like you need a shoulder to cry on.  There will usually be someone online, and they will be there to help.

    Sending HUGS....

    xoxo

    Harley
