Food Craving Chart: What you're craving, what your body needs!

I just came across this chart that lists what you're craving, and what nutrients your cravings mean you're likely needing, and what healthy food to eat to satisfy it... I'm sure there's leeway here, but I found this interesting and thought you might too!

    I always follow my cravings (I'm not talking about cake, etc.) -- especially in the morning.  I think it's my body telling me I need something, just like the chart says.  For example, I hate salad, but if I find myself I'm craving it I know my nutrients are out of whack and eat accordingly.

    Thanks Crunchy. That is really interesting. I have to say that since I have reformed my way of eating and lifestyle, I don't get many cravings any longer. But this chart is a great resource!

    Love this!  If I have my green smoothies (kale, chard, parsley etc... mixed with blueberries, or strawberries and pineapple) my craving's go away.  Now I know why!

    LOL - When I was going through chemo and my blood counts were going down into the basement, I craved red (raw, bloody) meat. Much to my PCP's relief as she was worrying about my cholesterol levels, the craving disappeared when my blood counts (and hemoglobin levels) were back in the normal range.
