two lumpectomies and counting

Dx DCIS 9/30/09, 1st lumpectomy 10/21 was 4cm x 6cm x 3cm with positive margins on four sides.  2nd lumpectomy 11/11 was another 2.5cm diameter and has one VERY close margin (anterior) of .5mm.   

Case goes before tumor board tomorrow but up to that point -- surgeon was hopeful to move forward to RT, radiation onc wants another lumpectomy, med onc wants another lumpectomy.  No one seems to be mentioning mastectomy at this point for a thin margin.  I am VERY small breasted and amazingly have good costmetic result right now after 2 surgeries.  Some talk that if we can't take more tissue for some reason, maybe a radiation boost instead.  

Has anyone else been through such a set of circumstances?
