Post operation scars and flesh.

I am now going past two months since I had my bi-lateral mascetomy. My breasts were large and now I am left with two rolls of skin beneath the scars. Also, some ugly puckering. I am not fat and my surgeon said to me that this fat was not part of my breasts I find it strange that he is willing to remove the extra skin but not the "dog ears" that are under my arm pits. Has anyone else experienced this? I don't want to go through another operation and still look and feel deformed with those two lumps on either side of me.

I requested I not be left with dog ears, but I still have big fat balls behind my armpits....just awful!  The puckering did get better after 6 months or so, but not those two fat globs.  It is hard enough to lose your breasts and go thru the surgery, I am just not sure why they can't make more of an effort to make us look smooth.  Anyway, I was told the lipo to remove them would be a simple procedure, so in time I may decide to do it.  Hang in there because there is more swelling to go down over the next few months.  Then you may decide you do want a scar revision.  Best to you!!  lisa

    Thanks chainsawz,

You have been helpful. I spoke with my surgeon and he says that getting rid of those balls is really cutting into the back. Interesting because about thirty years ago I knew a woman who had gone through  a bi-lateral and she only went through one operation and she was completely flat and even. Could it be that there is a reluctance to do the job right in the first place and therefore, spending more money on second operations to keep business going.

I don't like sounding cynical but I just hate to go through another operation.
