Oncotype Dx clinical trial for LCIS

It has been suggested to me from ladies on this board to see if I could get the Oncotype Dx test done.  Because I am in Canada, I didn't think it would be possible, but I was told that there is a clinical trial that if the tumour is >1cm, no node involved, ER/PR positive or high grade, I could qualify.  I don't have my grading yet and will being having sentinel node biopsy done coming up, so don't yet know if I qualify.

But when I was reading the eligibility for the clincal trial that is being conducted in Canada, one of the requirements is LCIS.

To quote from the eligibility " Lobular carcinoma in situ involving the resection margins are allowed ' I was shocked to read this, since I believe all of us LCIS people have been told you wouldn't check nodes with LCIS, nor do radiation, nor do chemotherapy basically you would just leave it and watch.  So why then would they include this in a clinical trial?  Just wondered if anybody else had seen this clinical trial and their thoughts?

Here is the link

(hope I did the link correctly)

I couldn't connect with that link, but I"m thinking they are not saying LCIS is a requirement---they are saying having LCIS does not exclude you from the clinical trial.

Cathy has ILC and clear margins are necessary to be included in the trial. What they are saying above, I think, is that any LCIS found in the margins doesn't count in the decision whether the ILC tumour removed has clear margins or not.

When I got my pathology report it mentioned that I had  "Focal Lobular Carcinoma in Situ adjacent to Invasive Carcinoma". My surgeon who handed me the report told me just to disregard that part as it doesn't mean anything to my prognosis.
