IBC testing tomorrow....I have a question

I've been reading here since the last Mammo and US (6 months ago) and have gained a wealth of knowledge and regained my "fight".  I am from the "old school" where you are taught to listen to the doctors!  Thanks to all of you, after reading your diagnoses and treatment "travels", I have gained a new determination!

I have all the "classic" signs of IBC.  My question is...Has anyone noticed the "orange peel" look on her arms?  In the last few days not only has the itching moved from the breast to the stomach and my back but my arms, from shoulder to wrist are taking on the "orange peel" look and are feeling like dry leather!  I use lotion several times a day with no help.

Thank you for your input-it is hard to talk about IBC with family and friends that have never heard of it!

    kat56:

With IBC being so rare everyones symptoms are so different.  I had none of the symptoms of IBC that are listed.  Mine just looked like dermatitis it wasn't until I had a biopsy that I found out I had IBC.   So it is possible that it can travel more research needs to be done.

    Good luck tomorrow.

    Hugs

Thanks caseysmom.  I have not read of others but am sure with all the other symptoms-it could go un-noticed.

As scared as I am, I admire each and every one of you here that has traveled this journey, making the path easier for those to come.

I am trying to stay positive and busy until tomorrow (easier said than done) and will take my new wealth of information and determination with me to my appointment.  The last six months have been stressful but hopefully the answers are near.

    Thanks again!
