mammosite radiation

I am scheduled for a lumpectomy next Tues.  Meet w/onco. on Mon.  I have one ILC (<1") and where the calcium deposits are ( small area -- no cancer but atypical changes) they are removing.  My surgeon doesn't expect node involvment ( praying for that!) and says I may be a candidate for mammosite, but his personal "bias" is to radiate more of the breast area.  We have vacation plans that 6 weeks of radiation would interfere with.  So, the shortened mammosite would sure be nice. But, I don't want this stuff to come back so I'll do whatever is most effective.  Any insight?  What questions should I ask on MOn.?    Thanks. Karenannne
