Here are some ideas

If you live in a smaller community with a weekly or monthly newspaper, and you are under 50, send them a note and suggest they do a profile.

Or offer to write a guest editorial.

Blog about this.

Twitter about this..(I think twittering is a more efficient way to reach people than a blog, though I enjoy blogging more.)

Hold an event in your town square, dress all the women under 50 with BC up in a separate color..or skeleton costumes if you really want to make a point.

Does someone want to be crafty and incorporate >50 into a pink ribbon logo, or start a new logo?

Call into talk radio shows.

Make a you tube video!

Does somone have a corn field, could you do a crop pattern thing? That will get on the news!

OK some of these are goofy, but think big and be creative!

Personally I really want there to be more testing options, more ultrasounds and pems and gamma machines and thermo-whatchamecallits, I really hope somehow the dialogue can include this.

Feel free to add your own ideas.

I think your ideas are AWESOME! It's so easy to complain about something, but it's great to actually come up with some solutions. I would add to write, phone and fax your local reps and elected officials. Try to encourage them to make this one of the platforms for their re-election. Many of mine have told me it really does make a difference when they hear from their constituants. I'm surprised they're not sick of me yet! lol
