Are there any New Zealand women with IBC that hang out in this forum would love to touch base with other NZers dealing with this awful disease

I was diagnosed Aug 2008

IBC with axillary and supraclavicular fossa nodal involvement

ER- PR- Her2+++

chemo Aug-Dec 2008 radiation Jan-Feb 2009 followed by mastectomy and axillary dissection April 2009 with pathology showing no malignancy left in breast or nodes

recurrence internal mammary nodes Oct 2009

Hi JayDub - Have you checked out the ibcsupport.org list?  They've had postings from a few NZ & Aussies in the past and I think in general have more of an international following. It might be a good resource for you to at least try. You should also check out eraseibc.com. They could help w/resources too.  Good luck from a fellow IBCer!  :^)

yeah i belong to that as well - but no nzers have come out of the woodwork there apart from one I've already met - have made other friends there but would like to talk to more people that know the nz medical system

Hi Jaydub26, I'm an Aussie, its sort of close to NZ, have you tried Aussie Breast Cancer Forum (www.bcaus.org.au), I dont know any on there with IBC (Im the only one I know off) but there are heaps of Kiwis on our Forum, that can help with general info
