Thanks, girls... I posted this when I first got home, then promptly fell asleep... I am feeling as good as could be expected... the worst part of the day was the needle loc (they had to insert two wires and finagle them in order to bracket the area accurately -- UGH).
Since waking up, I haven't been in a horrible amount of pain... just a normal bearable amount, I guess. I'm a little scared to see what I look like under all this bandaging... they told me they were removing a tennis-ball-sized area. I said, "Um, my whole breast is about the size of a tennis ball!!
" And I do look completely flat on that size. BUT, I still have my own nipple, and I'd rather be completely flat with my own nipple than have a grapefruit-sized implant with a fake one! (Of course, if it turns out there are invasive components of what they removed and/or if they didn't get clear margins, I'll surely have to have a mastectomy, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it!!)
Merrilee, still thinking about you, girl!!
I hope you're still resting well!! xoxo

OH Crunchy, I remember that needle locator wire all too well. That was definitely the worst part of the lumpectomy for me too. After they put that in me, I had to wait around for about 4 hours with it until they finally took me in for surgery. So, so uncomfortable! Glad you are doing well though and please fill us in when you know the pathology results.
Hope you get the day off from cooking Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. We are going out for the first time ever on Thanksgiving. Looking forward to relaxing and enjoying!

We're going out to eat for Thanksgiving too! LOL It doesn't seem right, but Ruby Tuesday is having traditional Thanksgiving dinner... I'm not going to be ordering that, more than likely, and will probably have a huge delicious salad (rumor has it that much of their salad bar produce is organic -- not sure how true that is), and maybe a *little* Thanksgiving-type treat. Definitely won't be one of those Thanksgivings where I gorge myself and sleep all afternoon! (well, I may sleep all afternoon anyway without gorging myself!!)
