I was first diagnosed with IBC in November 2002 and in July 2009 I had a recurrence in the same breast.  There are also some spots on the lung which are so small, can't be biopsed at the moment.  I have had 5 sessions of Taxotere and 4 of Herceptin.  My Oncologist said that I am doing very well.  Is there anyone in the same position as me who would like to keep in touch?

I have IBC but just diagnosed in August of this year.  Sorry you are back, and best of luck with your treatment.  Hugs.

If you don't mind me asking .................. I'm just curious why you didn't have a mastectomy with your first diagnosis.  I thought most IBC patients had neo-adjuvant chemo followed by mastectomy.

    Hi Faith,

I hope you don't mind me sending you a PM, but wanted to see how the Xeloda/Tykerb were going.  Were those chosen next b/c of the response failure with AC/Taxol?  I am so pissed off for you that you were diagnosed with IBC while in treatment.  I hate this damn disease?  I am not having a great clinical respnse so I wonder what will happen after I finish my current course of taxol/herceptin if my breast mri does still show lots of cancer.

    Hugs, and ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR for you,

    Lori
