Oh no....I'm so sorry about Zoh...I was so hoping she would be able to take that trip with her son. May she rest in peace and may our dear Lord comfort her family.
-
Doing really good Sheila, thanks! Having 2nd chemo tomorrow and although I'm not looking forward to SE's, I'm happy to have one more down. How about you?
-
So sorry about Zoh, that is so sad.
-
I'm doing OK Judy.
Before you know it it will be all over..
-
Watching this movie with my DS. Spending some time before he goes back to college.
-
I love movies where things blow up and the earth is in mortal peril.
-
I love heavy action movies or shows...like, I was obsessed with it and nobody was allowed to talk or call me when the show was on. OOH I missed my <24>
-
Enjoy your son and the movie .
I'm saying Good night then coming back again.
-
Loved 24! I also love it when the Scifi network has disaster movies on all weekend.
-
That's so funny Sheila, I was just answering you on the other thread about Hawaii!

Sorry ladies but I just heard from my PCP. My MRI results show no mets to my neck. PCP still thinks it is athritis and after I researched cervical arthritis I do agree with him, plus my old neck injury I don't know how I could escape having arthritis. I realized last night that this neck pain started after my last surgery when I started back on tamox and it has gotten worse. I asked him about taking a holiday form tamox for a couple of weeks and doing another steroid pac. He thinks that is very reasonable to try but he wants me to talk to my MO about it and see if he will give me his blessing. But then said you have to make the decision and then call me back if you want the steroid pac. So I see my MO on Friday and will talk to him about it but will be taking a Holiday with or without his blessing. If none of this works then he will send me to a spine doctor to maybe try some injections to get off the hydrocodone, but he knows I am trying to take as little as possible. Thanks so much for all your support and checking on me.
Judy I agree the traffic on I35 is horrible.
Sheila so glad you found me on FB

Sherry - Yay for no mets! Was worried you'd gotten bad news when you didn't repost last night. Hope you are able to get that neck pain managed though.
-
Sherry - YAY for no mets!! I was getting worried too this morning. So so happy for good news.
-
To my Stage 1 sisters,
Thanks for your encouragement and many good wishes!
I got a diploma and hugs from my team. i cried at home before treatment - overwhelmed with all the stuff ahead....no rest.I only had a few tears in my eyes when i left. Dinner out - brought cheesecake to my dear friend (44) who had hip surgery gone bad (staph). We work together, and she's out for the month. We laughed at what a mess we both are :-)
I was so drained I have not been on line. I logged in briefly last night and read about Zoh. I was lost for words. I switched to a battery candle - was burning so many....so many tragic losses; so many urgent needs.
Sherry - glad to hear some relieveing news.
Jo - so sorry about your pain. Enough already....
Hugs, good thoughts for the day, and prayers for the things we cannot handle alone.
Joan -
Joan ~ I know how relieved you are to have finished Rads. Congrats!
Sherry ~ Hoo-Rah!!! No mets!!! Still sorry for the pain you are induring, but NO mets!!
-
Joan: Congrats on successfully completing rads!
Sherry: Glad there were no mets! I have neck pain as well (not as bad as yours) and my BS laughed when I asked him if it was mets. He said...."arthritis".

Kaara I have to say my PCP really does listen to me. When he ordered the MRI he never said he was wanting to rule out mets. But I know enough to know that was what he was looking for. When he called me to give me the results the first thing he said was I did not have mets in my cervical spine. I think he just did not say anything before because he did not want to worry me. He is a very nice man, his wife suffers from MS and he is so carring towards her. When I spoke to him about the tamox aggrivating the arthritis and what was his thoughts on me taking a holiday and trying the steroid pac again without the tamox aggrivating it. He listened and thought it was very reasonable to try it but wanted me to talk to my MO about it Friday when I go in for my visit and then call him. But then he said even if he does not give his blessing on the med holiday it is still your decesion to make.

YEAH SHERRY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The past 24 hours have been so stressful - but now I have peace for awhile.
I was supposed to have cardiac cath on Monday. Yesterday I lost it - it is just too soon after rads; I need to heal mentally and physically. My DH was telling me to cancel and reschedule. He didn't like the hospital or dr. I was using. I could not see how I could postpone since work starts soon. Good news -- I called another well-known doctor today at a good cardiac center and he can schedule me for 1/26. I will have 4 days to recover before work, so it's OK. The best part is, they offered me deep sedation - i will be out and not remember a thing. (first hospital said I had to be awake)... I made the appointment immediately. I now have next week off to recover from rads. I know I did the right thing.
This all started because of Arimidex triggering angina-like symptoms. I gotta get checked before I go back on Arimidex.
More good news - my skin has healed so quickly. No peeling, no itching, no pain.
Drove to NJ today so I can read a story to my Gd's nursery class tomorrow. It's grandparents month. I wouldn't miss it! So good to be away from home so I can rest my mind a bit.
Thanks for listening...and have a peaceful, restful night.

Sherry......wonderful news sister...♥
Thank You for for the FB
I'm still waiting to be friended with granny.....Don't you visit your FB page anymore? hugs
ANNETTE♥VAL...big hugs.
-
Joan.....Congratulations for graduating to the next level. So glad you don't have any skin problems. You know when i lost it after i was done with radiation suddenly it hit me like i don't know what. I fell into a depression
Joan sometimes you will be emotional that's normal. I'm sure none of us can say we we were happy to be DX with BC. It's a shock. It gets little easier as the time passes but never leaves you completely.
OK...I did my rounds lol
Have a Good Night.
-
Sherry...this is for you♥
-
-
Beautiful
-
Sheila,
I can really understand how that happens -- it's a letdown in some ways to be so intensely destroying BC and then suddenly stopping...then the reality hits...wait and see.
But you inspire me because you are LIVIN' the life after BC.
Good night...Joan
-
So much going on here. My good thoughts are with you all. Hang on everybody!!!
-
I love all the beautiful pictures, words of encouragement and strength we give to one another. Lets continue to be kind to ourselves and patient with those around us. Possible snow this weekend which is always an event when it happens here. Have a good day and hopefully good news for those who are waiting for results and tests.
-
Joan so glad you got the cath thing rescheduled sounds like a much better plan
-
Just got done reading this really good book on BC. I highly recommend it - wish I had come across this a year ago.
