Corgi welcome this is a great place to be for support
Judy welcome to you as well, good to have another Texas girl on here even though I hate that you had to join us.
Sheila good for you to have a me day. We all needs those from time to time.
Granny hope that nurse calls you today, otherwise you may need to go camp on her doorstep
-
Welcome Corgi and Judy! definitely the best group of supportive and knowledgeable women here and they are the best friends anyone could have.
Val, thanks for the daily prayers they are so appreciated. Your villages and stockings are too cute.
Sheila I'm so glad you did take a me day and spent some time and money on yourself. I know when I was working and had extra I always spent it on the grandkids and before them it was the kids. That's just the way I am. I think so many of us are that way and tend to neglect ourselves and our health a lot of the time.
-
mimi I will be praying for your financial situation. It is bad enough to have bc and then you have to deal with the financial stresses. Last year, this year and next year I will be maxing out my out of pocket which is 5K also DH had issue this year and we spent out of pocket about 3K on him. I do not have a money tree growing in the backyard and the economy has hurt my DH business so we are having to watch everything we spend as well. I keep thinking if we can just make it through next year it will be better.

Hey Sheila, I'll be getting 6 tx's of taxotere, carboplatin, and herceptin. I'll get the Herceptin for a year. Did you get Herceptin? It's great to see your 4 years out. Being Her2+ is a little scary.
-
Hey Judy.
Yes I did Herceptin for 1 year.
I was on AC- Taxol treatment.
Judy...I'm actually out over 6 years now.
Herceptin is very doable....No hair loss or any SE that i think of except the nails.
Are you getting a Muga Test for the heart before Herceptin/
Any questions I'm here OK hugs
-
About 3:00 this afternoon... I had this overwhelming feeling of a (((((group hug))))) Thanks! I needed that...
Hi to Judy... welcome to the sister's ... Keep coming back, we might live all over the place but we have one heart and it's here.
-
Maybe I should put a Group Hug picture on the top. What do you think?
After the holidays if you have any favorite picture PM it to me and I will post it on the top and....we all take turns

Corgi..judy.............................Welcome to the "village", no one ever want to move too, but if you have to deal with BC.....................I can't think of a better place to settle down to......................these ladies, "even though their goofy" sometimes, will, laugh with you, cry with you, listen to you, give you sometimes better advice then ;your DR'S will give you, and show you ways to deal with this "devil" that no one else can.......................these women who I never knew , have become my "best friends"...............I love them............they are my "sisters"....................they will listen, when no one else wants to listen anymore...................even when "everyone" thinks its all over.......................we still deal with it..........................that is where "my ladies" make the difference.....................welcome, and do come back often...............we will be here waiting for you......................hugs to you ...............................and a GROUP HUG TO ALL MY LADIES........
-
Thanks to all for the welcome and the hugs!!
Sheila, I had an EKG. Should they have doned a MUGA? I believe I will have EKG's regularly throughout Herceptin tx.
-
Well Shiela, having a "ME" day tomorrow.............................1 hour facial at 10:30, followed by a pedicure , and then a manicure.................will then finish with a 1 hour hot stone massage.
I know you all want to jump in my pocket, but considering I will just have my underwear on I will have no pocket to keep you all in....................sorry..........well I could put on one of those "waist purses", and hide you all in there...............let me know if you want to come...............hahahahahhaa
-
Judy I was having DD 4 rounds every 2 weeks A/C chemo
I had a muga done before that and another one in Mid Herceptin.
Just remember this was in 2005.
Your DR knows what he or she is doing.
