CALLING ALL STAGE I SISTERS

ducky - glad to hear you are doing well and hope that you keep on doing so.
-
Thanks Chabba...................I hope so too..............at 76 you get enough ailments just from getting old.......................I do have to admit that each day I wait for something to emerge...............yet I'm hopeful it won't.................thanks again
-
ducky...Femara was very expensive $465.00 for 30 day supply. They didn't have the generic few months ago. I'm sure the insurance is relieved since I'm no longer on it.
Sometimes i think everything is stress related maybe Insurance companies should give a week all paid vacation once a year. Who knows maybe America will be a healthier State.
I'm just mumbling.
-
ducky - know what you mean, even at 69 ( well 69 later this month) some of those getting older ills have started. The arthritis started at 37 but has gotten much worse the last couple of years.
-
I haven't been on here much, since my son returned from Japan. I have no experience with the Fermara, Tamox, or other drugs so haven't had much to add to the conversation.
BUT, I had to jump in and wish Mimi a great vacation! (What's a vacation?) It seems we always use our days off to care for someone else! My goal was to take DH to Hawaii for his 50th this year, but we had the emergency trip there in Feb. for DS surgery. Maybe we can go to a Hawaiian Shave Ice stand for his birthday!
-
Meeece I know what you mean about not having days. It seems all I do is use my time for Dr's for me, my husband or my dad. I can't seem to get ahead. I finally have some time built up and my kids called from Seattle and are going to visit. So I am happy to use what little time I have because it has been 2 years since we have seen the kids. Once I take the week off I'll be back to zero time. I would really like to have a little time built up for DH and I to go away on a long weekend just the two of us. IDK maybe it will happen by the end of the year. Maybe that could be out Christmas presents to each other if I can save up enough time.
-
So two years ago my company switch from just giving us a block of days to use for sickness, vacation, personal, whatever... to giving us fewer days for personal and vacation, and then we just 'take' sick days with no set limit.. guess they thought they were paying for to many 'fun' days... so I guess my timing is finally right! All the sick days for surgeries, all the doctors appointments, all the days when I just could not go in... sick days from the unlimited pool... and my vacation/personal days are intact! LOL - first and only time my timing was good!
-
-
vhshea your timeing was perfect. I did join the sick pool so when I do my BMX and reconstruction next March I don't have to worry about the days. At least I did that right.
-

Hi everyone! I'm back and I did use sunscreen Barbara... even the one with 50 spf but there were still areas that burned with that on. The top of my head and scalp and shoulders. LOL! We had a blast though. As soon as I find the cord to my camera I will upload some pics from the beach.
