Lily,  I also had BS in both breast at the same time.  Stage 1 and stage 2.  I also had a bilateral Mastectomy.

Seyla, congrats on finishing up your Femera. I'm glad you didn't have many SEs.  Wonderful! And I bet your hair will thicken again now that you are off it.

So many of you having appointments this month.  Sending you all hugs and well-wishes. I see my Onc this month, but she just asks a few questions, takes a feel of things, and that's it.  Nothing painful.  I have implants in right now, but will be taking them out late July early August.  I find them quite uncomfortable.  They are not for me, but that's ok.  I just found out today that my insurance will pay for taking them out. I'm VERY thankful for that.

Love the pictures on this thread!  They always make me laughLaughing.  Just wanted to let everyone know that I am finally done with rads!! Yippee for me!  7 and a half weeks sure went by fast.  I'm glad to be done but it sure is weird to finally be back to normal life.  I go back for a followup in 3 weeks.  When I asked if there will be a follow up after that, the PA said I can come in as much as I want if it makes me feel more comfortable.  My mammogram isn't until November, so this makes me feel better that someone will be checking my boobs on a regular basis. Gotta love cancer doctors!

suebek--great, great news!  I know the feeling.  I thought I needed chemo, then found out I didn't after all.  The biggest relief of my life!

Hi ladies...............Haven't posted for a while, near the end of my Rads. only 7 more to go...............today is a shitty day ...................it started off bad, and just continues to be that way, or I'm just having a down day...........began making a mistake  between regular Rads, and my Portal appt............which I have to keep at 2pm, went today thinking it was 9am Rads, and Portals tomorrow at 2pm and can't get my grandson off the school bus at 3pm (won't make it back in time).........and we are getting severe thunderstorms.......daughter can't get out of work to be there, son-in-law if far away too.............then came home and my friggin smoke detector (hard wired) won't stop beeping every 10 seconds, and soon I am going to rip the "bitch" right out of the ceiling, bet that will stop it..................so disgusted I can't even make good use of my time till I have to go back to that friggin hospital for the Portals and treatment at 2.............wouldn't care but the person who schedules the Portal and Simulation appts. was acting like a "bitch", and talking over me when I was trying to explain things to her..............I hate her.....................and yes I do mean hate, and then my son got really pissed off at the way she was talking to me, and intervened, and while doing so dropped the F bomb on her............near died.......................love all the other people.......oh well just hope my grandson is going to be ok, don't give a shit about anything else...........he is all that matters.  I'm nervous cause he is petrified of storms of any kind.

Thanks jo.............my daughter text me and said my son-in- law is going to try to leave work early to be home for my grandson...........I hope he makes it in time................It is actually the storms, not the getting off the bus.........he is right up the street from his house when he gets off, but he is deathly afraid of storms............that is it........he has a key to get in, and has done it before, but we are getting severe storms, and possible tornado........Just hope my son-in-law doesn't have traffic.

ducky - Now I can breathe a sigh of relief for you too.  Hope you don't get any violent storms.  What a joy to have a grandson like that - you don't hear that too often these days.  Be Safe.

    Wow. lots going on today.

Granny- I have not been told to wear a compression bra...working with the massage therapist to get things moving and am doing some self-massage as well...am also using light weights now that I can get back to the gym and am goin gto row2 tomorrow and see how it makes me feel.I still have not found a bra that supports but does not dig in and at the lymphadema clinic they suggested some foam I can get at the fabric store around the corner so will check that out tomorrow.not really looking forward to a compressino bra if it goes that way....there will be no partying in any pants if I get tightwired into one of those! sheesh !lol But...just in case, where do you get your compression brasÉ the majority of my pain is my left shoulder....

Ducky- another story for your book my friend. Glad he got home safely.

Sandee, I'm still wearing the sports bras since they have some light compression. I like the the ones that aren't the racer back. I've found some at Walmart that work for me and yes, I wear them 24/7. The racer backs tend to make my shoulders hurt because they're supposed to be tight across the traps.

SusanGH congrads on finishing rads.... Yeah! It does go faster than we think it will....

Ducky, yeah, you're almost done too... Glad to hear your GS got home safely.

((((hugs))) to everyone.... Hope your day went well.

Thank you seyla and jo.  The best news I have gotten since my diagnosis.  I am going today to get my rads started.  I want to get this done, my husband, kids and I are planning a trip to Vegas in the beginning of August. We have been planning this for a year now, our youngest is turning 21. I thought this cancer crap was going to spoil our trip, but it looks like we are going.  Yaaah

I have my first mammo sinc dx tomorrow morning and I am scared sh**less.  When I had the diagnostic last year, it really hurt.  I can't imagine what it will be like this year.  My lump scar is in an area where the bottom plate is going to rest right on it.  I do have pain meds to take before I go and I will ask the tech to be gentle.  I will have the good boob done first.   Hope they don't make me wait until the 20th when I see my MO for the results.

    Is it me or what!!!!!!

I'm finding all these commercials offensive when famous singers  singing Happy Birthday to us.

    Why just Cancer patients?????

I feel like they are feeling sorry for us.

AND I don't like that feeling.

And I'm a fan of Ricky Martin and Celine Dion.

When the commercial starts I feel like jumping in the screen and slapped them.Yell

    Is it just me???????????

    Thank You.
