    Oh Amy,

SUCK.  SUCK. SUCK.  I'm so sorry!  Will they be doing biopsies to confirm mets?  Are the nodes directly on the chest wall?  Ugh. I'm so sorry this is happening.  Are there any clinical trials you might be eligible for?  The PARP drugs maybe?  Hang in there and let us know how you're doing!

Violet- calm and peaceful vibes coming your way.  I'll be thinking of you this afternoon.  Please let us know how it goes.

thenewme-The nodes are scattered all about the chest area, collarbone area and underarm.  My Onc said they are not going to biopsy, just do chemo and hope it kills/shrinks it and then 35 rounds of radiation.

Violet-I too will be thinking of you!

I'm not too familiar with the parps, but here's an article that may be worth looking into for you at Univ of Michigan!

    http://www.prweb.com/releases/Beaumont_Hospitals/University_of_Michigan/prweb3125284.htm

Maybe look on the stage IV threads for others with more info, and also check

www.tnbcfoundation.org  for a ton of great information specific to Triple Negatives.  Please keep us posted!

And here's a link for the national clinical trials for triple neg: http://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?term=triple+negative

Good luck on your PET today.  I am a triple neg IBC just diagnosed 2 weeks ago.  I'm glad there is such a strong group of ladies out there.  carolinachick, I hope your visit went well...  I see the onc on Wednesday to find out if I am a candidate for chemo.  IBC metastisizes very quickly, so I think I'm in big trouble...

Thank you, clellene.  It's the waiting now.  I'm so sorry you have to be here too.  I don't know anything about IBC, but everyone here seems to concur that chemo works well on Triple Neg.  I called the hotline yourshoes (1-800-221-2141)  today.  They match you with a survivor with yoour diagnosis.  Your match calls you within 3 days and fills you with hope :)  Mine hasn't called yet, but it might be a good idea for you.  Meanwhile,  I'm going to research Xanax.  Let us know how your app on Wednesday goes.

Violet7 and clellene....good luck with chemo...you CAN DO IT!   Chemo sucks but so does cancer.  I had dose dense chemo..ac/taxol..wasn't fun...but supposedly the strongest drugs that you can get...and you want that....!

HollyHopes, I love it!  That's awesome!  Thank you for the well-wishes, Titan.  My survivor match from yourshoes called me.  She had had a positive sentinel lymph node, Stage 2b, and she's 4 years out.  It did make me feel better - a bit.  I also got a prescription from the onc for anxiety.  He gave me citalopram (the generic, I don't know what the brand name is).  I'm not so sure about it yet.
