Anyone do physical therapy for shoulder stiffness/fibrosis

Options
I was very lucky, I did the shortened plan and had minimal side effects.  About a month ago my shoulder start bothering me, pain when I reached high or moved my arm around.  I chalked it up to one of the machines at Curves.  I worked out after my lumpectomy, during chemo (when I felt like it), and during radiation.  Since the stiffness started I have been doing shoulder exercises, but so far they haven't help.  I now have pain and tenderness above my breast and a little pain when I take a deep breath, I am thinking it's costochondiritis.  My onc said  it's due to fibrosis caused by the radiation and she could refer me to PT.  Has anyone else done PT and did it help?  I am already taking a prescription anti-inflammatory drug for Aromasin pain. From what I have read this is a common occurrence, which the RO did not mention to me.  I am feeling kinda grumpy and whiney Undecided as I wasn't expecting this.  .......

Hello! I finished my treatments just before Thanksgiving last year, had some other issues that popped up at the same time that didn't really put me into the mood to give thanks, but that's another story that did turn out well after a D & C in Feb. I too developed a pain and soreness in my shoulder blade and back area. To be honest, I have wonderful docs, but they never did offer up any reason why this happened, but I did feel that it had to be the radiation due to the location and it was different than a normal muscle strain. I suspect you do know exactly what I mean. As I had been receiving treatments from my local Gonstead Chiropractor for other aches and pains prior to this, I thought I'd give him a try. He did a few adjustments, and viola! the pain and soreness was gone! Just my two cents, but might be worth a try. Best of luck! And remember of the stroke of midnight on New Years Eve, get up and flush your toilet and flush 2009 away! It's therapeutic!
