I just purchased some tocomin suprabio, a palm oil derived source of tocopherols and tocotrienols (all members of the vitamin E family).  The bottle contains a warning: Sitosterolemics: this product contains phytosterols which may affect pregnant or lactating women, persons taking certain medications.  Consult your Doctor.

Are phytosterols from palm oil to be avoided for ER+ breast cancer patients?  The whole idea of using the product was the favorable research that palm oil derived tocotrienols help ER+ breast cancer patients and enhance the efficacy of tamoxifen.  Other studies suggest B-sitosterol enhances tamoxifen as well, but I have no idea what the phytosterol profile and content is of the the tocomin product.  Not sure what a sitosterolemic is.  Is that some sort of condition?
