Let's see how do I make this short.. I am currently in the process of waiting to get my results from my 2nd CT/Scan.......My first showed signs of Mets in both lungs......I then took a PET Scan and the PET Scan was negative.....Now I"v decided to get a second opinion and I took a trip to UAB... that is where they Specialize in Triple Negative BC....MY ONO.. their said, 'that if the Scans are done in seperate places that the Scans will not be right..I have to have the Scans done at the same place by the same Machine"...That is why I have to have another CT/Scan...I also told her that my Ono back home has put me down for 6 treatments of Taxotere/Cytoxone....She said, "I only need four." I talked to him and he said, "it use to be 4 but they are moving it up to 6." Anyway what do you all think I should do? Should I do 2 more treatments or should I not? So many questions. If anyone has been through this or has any wisdom let me know....Thank you....Alabama

Lesa, I'm so sorry about what you are having to deal with. You might want to also post on the Stage IV boards........
Gentle hugs.

Lesa,
I hate to hear that you are going through all of this. I cannot give you counsel or wisdom on how many tx you should have, but I can sympathize with your having to worry and wonder what will be best for you. I see you already have had a second opinion, what would you think about a third? I don't know if that is an option for you. Or maybe just talking it through again with the oncologists can get you some clearer answers to what you want to do. Whatever you decide will be right for YOU. Good luck with your treatments and please let us know how you are doing
Take care and all my best to you!

I guess the number of treatments would depend on how well it is working for you and how well you are tolerating them? I was originally going to have 4 treatments of TCH, but then opted for 6 because I was doing okay and wanted the biggest bang for my buck. If your PET is clear then that is definitely a good sign the chemo is kicking the pants off the cancer :> Best of luck to you!! lisa
