There are now 42 former Marines who were stationed at Lejeune with male breast cancer. Every time we get some media more turn up. According to statistics there would be ten tops during the contamination years........kinda spooky......I happen to be one of them....Jimmy

Jimmy - i haven't seen the programs aired but have consistently read any story.  first of all I thank you Jimmy.. I'm honoredthat you are here and grateful for your service.  To give oneself to one's country is the greatest gift and sacrifice.. it's totally not fair that you are sick.

geez... i wish you the best and hope that this topic is discussed openly and the government does what is right.

    Pamelajo  -

There was one more link: Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.

On the base between the 1950s and 1980s, they drank and bathed in well water that was polluted with a chemical degreaser and a dry cleaning solvent that might be carcinogens -- and two other chemicals, benzene and vinyl chloride, that definitely are. Camp Lejeune is a Superfund site now, listed for a hazardous waste cleanup.

Jimmy - I'm so sorry you and fellow officers are going through this illness.  You more than paid your dues - now our Govt should own up and take care of you.  Best wishes Joann
