My retired teacher friend is a red hatters. She told me I couldn't join until I was 55 years old. I thought the age was 50 and was looking forward to joining next year.

In the Red Hat book of Rules, anyone 50 & over can be a red hatter, under that age may be a pink hatter, keep on looking for a chapter to join, it's alot of fun fun fun

Thanks for that info - I will pass it on to her. She is always borrowing my red and purple hats, etc. and she has a blast at the functions!

OK, I'll bite. What's a red hatter?

The Red Hat Society is a club of women who wear purple clothes and red hats age 50 and over, under 50 they wear pink hats and lavendar clothes, it's just a really fun gathering, we go and do karaorke for the senior citizen singing the oldies and dancing aroung, we get them involved and have a great time, we also go to senior bingo,I otherwise wouldn't be able to go as I'm not in my 60's yet
There's national & regional conventions to get to know you red hat sisters,
There's always a queen, vice queen, princesses, countesses
My name is either
Princess Unique
Princess GI Vera
Countess Unruly
I really haven't chosen the one that I want,
everyone is unique in their own way
Some of us are in the military
and some can be unruly at times
You out to check into your home town
to look for a chapter go to................. www.redhatsociety.com

I'm in 2 Red Hat groups in my town. Our only rule is that there are NO rules and the reason we gather is to have a good time and laugh.
We take trips to various places for fun or challenge---I had always wanted to white water raft and finally did it at 65! with a bunch of other oldbies. We did great. We go to lunch, plays, pools, you name it. If it's fun, we can do it.
One group is the lunch bunch and they don't travel much, but they are such interesting women who have been all over the world, and have had experiences to blow one away.
The other is more action oriented and take off to places known and unknown.
So glad to see you here evil! I vote for the Countess Unruly---that fits you to a 'T'!
