Where do I start.......

Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago and had the breast removed along with treatment of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.  After a long period of treatment, mum was finally cleared and the treatment stopped.  Then the bombshell hit 18 months later.  Mum had what seemed to be an epileptic fit and taken to A&E where after a brain scan it was confirmed that the breast cancer had spread to the brain along with the liver and the right shoulder.

Radiotherapy controlled the secondary breast cancer in the brain, and steriods along with countless other drugs have helped to control the fits.  1 month ago, the doctors stopped the tablet form of chemo as mum was wek and not eating.  Now she is bed ridden, doesnt eat and when she does it can fit on a teaspoon.  Her weight has dropped dramatically to a point where she is a shadow of her former self, her stomach is enlarged due to the inflammed liver.  When mum is awake, her energy is low and she can hardly speak.

With no luck searching for answers (either new answers or ones to confirm what I am thinking) I found this website and read through others blogs.  Is there anyone out there for advice, support or just a simple chat.  Perhaps there are family/friends within the same situation.

I intend to add details everyday to update mums progress with this shitty nasty condition.

Gareth.
