Has anyone had experience with the reconstructive surgeons at NY Presbyterian - Columbia?  I was first referred to Ascherman, but that was changed to Rohde when I mentioned I was considering DIEP.

Thanks in advance.

She is my plastic surgeon and I think she's fabulous. I opted for a double mastectomy with reconstruction using implants. My new twins are my pride and joy. She does beautiful work and she understands not everyone wants big boobs. She created and tattooed nipples that look so real you can hardly tell (except for the mastectomy scars).

    Best of luck.

I am in the process of after my mastectomy one breast is damaged by radiation so I have to do either a microsurgery from my back or a conventional latissimus muscle relocation to send new skin to the damaged area. I would love to hear from anyone who has had either. I am thinking the tried and true latissimus may be best. As you all know this has been a more than trying time.

Did anyone have a more recent experience with Dr Rhode? I have large breasts, would like to get something similar, maybe full C. Was wondering if anybody had fairly large breasts reconstructed by her.
