Is Chemo Fog Permanent?

I had chemo, then surgery, now I'm back on chemo because of multiple positive nodes.

The break I had from the drugs before and after surgery  alleviated the brain fog a little, but it never completely went away.  I was just wondering if there is permanent brain damage?  Does it depend on the drug? 

I KNOW the dd A/C that I started with was some wicked stuff, but what about abraxane? 

Is there any natural way to protect our brain cells?
