and radiation may contribute to the staggering incidence of breast cancer. In our daily lives, we are rarely exposed to these substances in isolation; the pervasiveness of many of these substances means we likely have multiple, low-level exposures over the course of weeks, months, even years. There are several examples in recent scientific literature demonstrating that mixtures of environmental chemicals, chemicals and radiation, or complex combinations of chemicals and particular genetic or hormonal profiles may alter biological processes and possibly lead to increases in breast cancer risk.

These new data show that we need to begin to think of breast cancer causation as a complex web
of often interconnected factors, each exerting direct and interactive effects on cellular processes in mammary tissue."

There's a lot of truth in that. A complex web of causation, for sure.

I'll add that to my reading list.  Thanks for the link.  Right now I'm reading Waking the Warrior Goddess by Dr Christina Horner.  She talks about DDT and how longlasting the effects of it are.  It's common knowledge how the US banned it decades ago, but I didn't know that Mexico and other countries continue using it to this day.  I've been eating an avocado nearly every day for months now and I think they all come from Mexico. 

Horner also mentions how studies are nearly nonexistent in regard to looking at chemicals as they interact with each other.  And the few studies we have show that interactions between chemicals can increase reactions of various kinds exponentially.

I no longer wonder why some of us get cancer and others don't.  I am amazed there's anyone at all who doesn't have it!   We live and breath a chemical soup every day and night.
