First period after chemo?!?!

I finished chemo in May 08 and about 4 weeks ago had cramping and signs of ovulation.  It was pretty intense so my onc told me to see my GYN.  That appt is still pending, but the beginning of last week I started spotting on and off for a couple days and that was it.  The way I was cramping, I thought the cycle would have been very heavy but it wasn't.  Now I am having signs of ovulation again.  Is this normal for a return for periods??

    I'm still in the middle of chemo, but instead of losing my period I'm getting it more often?!?!  I haven't been cramping at all - but the flow is pretty heavy.  Again, I would have expected the opposite so who knows...

    I just finished my 2nd A/C and I am still having a period.   The flow is light (clots at times) and I asked my oncologist about it on Friday and he said that some women stop their periods, some slow down and some have them just as regular.   He said something about the new make-up of some chemotherapies that it doesn't shut down the ovaries but that it does slow them down some.
